Why does Authentic Stone focus on full-facade projects?

Authentic Stone does not undertake small-patch or minor repair works. Our team is structured and equipped for complete facades, extensive elevations and substantial heritage restoration projects.

As a general guide, we do not quote on isolated pointing repairs, individual wall patches or repointing projects involving less than approximately 20 linear metres.

This is not simply a minimum project value. It reflects our approach to quality and conservation.

Partial repointing can produce inconsistent mortar colours, joint profiles and weathering patterns. It can also leave failed mortar surrounding the repaired section, allowing deterioration to continue across the rest of the facade.

By restoring the complete affected elevation, we can deliver a more consistent appearance, address underlying problems and provide a restoration outcome that performs as a unified system.

Where a property only requires a minor repair, we may be able to refer the owner to a trusted tradesperson within our professional network.

Heritage Restoration Done Properly

Authentic Stone combines traditional craftsmanship with a practical understanding of South Australian buildings, materials and environmental conditions.

Every project is approached with respect for the original structure. Our objective is not to replace historic material unnecessarily or make an old building appear new. It is to retain what is sound, carefully repair what has failed and restore the facade in a way that protects its character for the future.

If your property requires complete facade repointing, extensive paint removal, masonry cleaning, chimney reconstruction or a coordinated heritage restoration program, contact Authentic Stone to discuss the scope of the project.
